Born and raised in Honolulu, I spent the first half of my working life as a Civil Engineer (I am still a Registered Professional Engineer in HI and CA) after completing my Engineering degree at Santa Clara University in California.  This journey took me through all phases of complex Construction projects, beginning with planning and budgeting through Design, specifying and Permitting, and ending with Construction Management and Administration. I’ve always valued environmental stewardship and am a US Green Building Council high-performance building LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C).

However, one itch that Engineering didn’t scratch was my dream to be an entrepreneur and to own a Small Business of my own.  So many times, people ask about “how I switched from Engineering to Flooring” but in reality, I’m lucky that my professional experience helped prepare me for this new chapter in my life.

Paradise Flooring has grown through word of mouth, as we strive to provide excellent Customer Service in all that we do. Being a "local boy" has taught me the importance of relationships, treating others with respect, and always doing business the right way with fairness, honesty, and integrity.  We value our relationships with our customers and business partners and are grateful for the opportunity to assist them with their flooring projects from start to finish.
